This three bedroom bungalow has a distinctive style and was originally built in the 1960's.  The bungalow occupies an elevated position in Marford and is set into the hillside taking advantage of the views to the North.  The existing layout provides 3 small-to-medium sized bedrooms which for the overall size of the property are out of scale and undersized.  Our client wished to extend the property to provide a Master bedroom, guest room and home office, but due to site constraints this needed to be achieved within the footprint of the existing building. 

This was not without it's challenges due to overlooking constraints from neighbouring properties but we worked closely with the planning authority to secure planning permission for a first floor extension, sitting on top of the existing building and designed in a style to complement the existing building.

We are currently developing a Building Regulations package of drawings for our Client using lightweight timber frame construction and are looking forward to seeing the project start on site soon.
